We are making Lithuanian fashion (a little bit) more circular

We decided to start a new project and enable our customers to buy and sell their preloved clothes and accessories made by Lithuanian brands at Baltas Miskas boutique in Vilnius.

We hope that this step will positively contribute to the circularity of Lithuanian fashion.

How it works

The idea is simple: Buy and sell preloved Lithuanian fashion offline.

Customers can bring in (or send to us) the items that they'd like to sell. Submitted items will be exhibited in Baltas Miskas store alongside other Lithuanian fashion products.

Why we are doing this?

Globally, the share of preloved fashion constitutes around 7% of the total sales. However, it is still rare to find new and used items to be sold side by side. We think it should change.

Placing used items alongside the new ones allows easy comparisons, and expands available choices both stylistically and price-wise.

Side-by-side comparison of used and new items from the same brand, instructs about their durability and overall quality as it is revealed over time.

Only Lithuanian brands!

Most preloved fashion today is sold without much emphasis on branding and segmentation.

We think it would be beneficial to customers if preloved retail would become more like conventional fashion retail in this regard. It is easier and more enjoyable to shop for preloved fashion when it is pre-sorted to meet certain criteria.
